Delicious Chicken Curry Recipe ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿ”ฅ

A flavorful, rich, and aromatic Indian-style chicken curry that pairs perfectly with rice or naan!


Ingredients:

โœ… For Marination:

  • 500g chicken (bone-in for best flavor)
  • ยฝ cup yogurt
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ยฝ tsp salt

โœ… For the Gravy:

  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  • 2 onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (pureed)
  • 2 green chilies (slit)
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ยฝ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ยฝ tsp turmeric
  • ยฝ tsp red chili powder
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions:

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

1๏ธโƒฃ Mix chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
2๏ธโƒฃ Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best taste).


Step 2: Prepare the Curry

1๏ธโƒฃ Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
2๏ธโƒฃ Add chopped onions and sautรฉ until golden brown.
3๏ธโƒฃ Stir in ginger-garlic paste and sautรฉ for a minute.
4๏ธโƒฃ Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
5๏ธโƒฃ Mix in coriander powder, turmeric, red chili powder, black pepper, and salt.


Step 3: Cook the Chicken

1๏ธโƒฃ Add the marinated chicken and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
2๏ธโƒฃ Pour 1 cup water, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes until chicken is tender.
3๏ธโƒฃ Add garam masala and stir well.


Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

1๏ธโƒฃ Garnish with fresh coriander.
2๏ธโƒฃ Serve hot with steamed rice, roti, or naan!
