Delicious Chicken Curry Recipe ๐๐ฅ
A flavorful, rich, and aromatic Indian-style chicken curry that pairs perfectly with rice or naan!
Ingredients:
โ For Marination:
- 500g chicken (bone-in for best flavor)
- ยฝ cup yogurt
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- ยฝ tsp salt
โ For the Gravy:
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
- 2 onions (finely chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (pureed)
- 2 green chilies (slit)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ยฝ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garam masala
- ยฝ tsp turmeric
- ยฝ tsp red chili powder
- 1 cup water
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1: Marinate the Chicken
1๏ธโฃ Mix chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
2๏ธโฃ Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best taste).
Step 2: Prepare the Curry
1๏ธโฃ Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
2๏ธโฃ Add chopped onions and sautรฉ until golden brown.
3๏ธโฃ Stir in ginger-garlic paste and sautรฉ for a minute.
4๏ธโฃ Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
5๏ธโฃ Mix in coriander powder, turmeric, red chili powder, black pepper, and salt.
Step 3: Cook the Chicken

2๏ธโฃ Pour 1 cup water, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes until chicken is tender.
